Private Tanzania safari, designed around how you want to travel

A private safari is not a longer version of a group tour. It changes what the day can be: you leave when the light is right, stay with a sighting because it is still unfolding, and eat when you are hungry rather than when a schedule says so.

We design the route around the season, the animals moving through it, and the way you actually like to travel — early and long, or slow and unhurried.

Example journey

A shape to start from, not a fixed package

  1. Arrival

Land at Kilimanjaro, soft landing near Arusha.

  2. Tarangire

    Elephant herds and baobab country.

  3. Ngorongoro

Crater rim, then a full descent day.

  4. Serengeti

Several nights positioned for the herds.

  5. Departure

Bush flight back, or onward to the coast.

When to travel

The northern circuit is rewarding year-round. June to October is dry and predictable; January to March brings calving in the south of the Serengeti; April and May are green, quiet and better value with some rain.

Questions

Will we share the vehicle with other travellers?
No. The vehicle, the guide and the schedule belong to your party alone.
How many hours a day are spent driving?
It depends on the route you choose. We plan around your tolerance for road time and will tell you honestly where a bush flight is worth the cost.
